Now through Oct. 10th, during regular library hours, all locations of the Stark County District Library will accept entries for the TURN DREAMS into REALITY TEEN ART CONTEST.  Open to students in grades six through 12.  For rest of the requirements, visit:    www.starklibrary.org

The Massillon Parks and Recreation Department is now offering "ONLINE PROGRAM REGISTRATION".   And you can sign up by visiting their new website:   www.massillonparks.com     No cost to enroll and everyone that sets up an online profile by Oct. 3rd will be entered into a special drawing.

The Stark County District Library is sponsoring their next September program - entitled "DANCE PARTY - LET'S WALTZ" on Thurs. Sept. 25th from 6 - 7 pm in the McKinley Room.   Adults will learn the basic form of the smooth gliding dance.  Beginners welcome and for more info, call 330 458-2754.

Have you always wanted to know the safest way to build a campfire?   Then, come to The Stark Parks' next program on Fri. Sept. 26th at 6 pm at The Wildlife Conservation Center at the west entrance of Sippo Lake Park.    Bring camp chairs and for more info, call 330 479-2336.

The Canal Fulton Canalway Center's next Cruise on the St. Helena III Canal Boat will be Fri. Sept. 26th and Sat. Sept. 27th;  beginning at 6:30 pm both evenings.   For additional ticket info, call 330 854-6835.

On Sat. Sept. 27th, Malboro Christian Church (on Edison St. SE in Alliance) will host the 5th ANNUAL FAMILY FUN FEST.  This free event is open to the public and runs 10 am - 2 pm on the grounds of the Church.  Guests will enjoy inflatables, games, live entertainment, and food.  Call 330 935-2161 if needing more info.

The Massillon Woman's Club is inviting everyone to their SUPER SALE on Sat. Sept. 27th from 9 am - 4 pm at 6890 Harbor Drive in Canton.  All proceeds to benefit the Woman's Club.  Call 330 495-4790 for further information.

His Place for You Church located on Whipple Ave. NW in Canton (at the Myers Lake Plaza) is hosting A CRAFT SHOW on Sat. Sept. 27th from 9 am - 3 pm. 

Zoar Volunteer Fire Dept. will be sponsoring AN ALL YOU CAN EAT PANCAKE BREAKFAST on Sat. Sept. 27th from 7 - 10 am at the Fire Station on East 5th Street.  $ 5 for adults and $ 2.50 for children under 12.   Carryout meals also available by calling 330 874-2069.

The NE Ohio Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host comedian JOHN BRANYAN on Sat. Sept. 27th at 7 pm in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center of Malone University on Cleveland Ave. NW in Canton.  Event is open to the public and admission is $ 15 per person.  Call 330 471-8239 for tickets and more info.

St. Michael the Archangel Church on St. Michael Blvd. NW in Canton is proud to continue the Helman Concert Series hosting local artist JEFF FRICKER on Sat. Sept. 27th  at 7 pm.  The concert will be free and open to all ages.     There will also be a SPAGHETTI DINNER on the same night from 5 - 7 pm.  $ 8 for adult meal ticket and $ 5 for children.  Any questions, call 330 492-3119.

Merging Hearts Holistic Center is presenting two special events - "SWAMI BEYONDANANDA" - AN EVENING of COSMIC COMEDY" on Sat. Sept. 27th at 7:30 pm.  Tickets - $20 in advance and $ 25 at the door.    Then, on Sun. Sept. 28th from 1 - 4 pm - "INVOLUNTARY SIMPLICITY - AN INTERACTIVE PLAYSHOP" will be presented.   Tickets for this event are $ 25 in advance and $ 30 at the door.  Both events held at the Center on Burrshire Dr. NW in Canton and you may sign up for tickets at:    www.merginghearts.org

Paris Israel Church, Israel's Lutheran Church and New Franklin Lutheran Church in Paris, Ohio will be holding their ANNUAL PARIS FOOD PANTRY HUNGER WALK in Paris on Sun. Sept. 28th.  Registration begins at 1:30 pm and walk at 2 pm.  The walk is apprx. 3.0 miles in length and is open to all who wish to walk and donate money.   For directions, call 330 862-3776.

The Stark County Humane Society is presenting the 2014 MUTT STRUTT for a dog-gone fun day on Sun. Sept. 28th at Schneider Community Park in Plain Township.  Registration to begin at noon and walk will take place from 2 - 5 pm.    Call 330 453-5529 for the required regulations.

The Malone University Student Activities Council's Kawfee Haus & Concert Series will welcome Dove Award-winning recording artist MEREDITH ANDREWS on Tues. Sept. 30th at 9 pm in the Johnson Center Chapel on Cleveland Ave. NW in Canton.  Concert is free, but  tickets are required for admission - $ 10 for the public and are available in the Office of Student Activities.
