Junior Friends of Massillon Public Library are throwing out the challenge to Massillon and surrounding area to invite their friends, co-workers, and family to celebrate SOCKTOBER by donating new socks during the month of October to those in need.  For more info, call 330 832-9831, Ext. 321.

Massillon Women's Club is inviting everyone to their CHILI SUPPER on Fri. Oct. 24th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.  $ 7 for adults and children with no required reservations needed.

The Louisville Area YMCA is hosting a pre-school HALLOWEEN PARTY on Sat. Canton Baptist Temple on Whipple Ave. NW in Canton will be hosting their ANNUAL CBT-REATING HALLOWEEN ALTERNATIVE on Sat. Oct. 25th from 11 am - 1 pm throughout the hallways of the church.   The entrance will be at Door "E".    For more info, call 330 477-6267.

FULL MOON MADNESS Event will be held on Sat. Oct. 25th at St. George Serbian Center on Applegrove St. NW in North Canton.  Doors open at 6 pm and FELIX & FINGERS Dueling pianos and dinner at 7 pm.   Featuring dinner, dancing, and lots of fun for adults only!  $ 50 per person tickets available at all Jackson Schools.

The Paris Community Association will be hosting the PARIS HALLOWEEN TRICK or TREAT & COSTUME CONTEST on Sun. Oct. 26th from 5 - 7 pm at the Paris Pavilion at the corner of State Route 172 and Paris Ave. in Paris.    This is a family friendly event open to all Paris Area Residents (no gory or extremely graphic or scarey costumes please).   Call 330 862-3776 for more info.

The Massillon Museum's next Brown Bag Lunch and program will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28th from 12:10 - 12:50 pm.  Featuring Mandy Pond with "MASSILLON and THE WAR TO END ALL WARS program".   It's free and open to everyone with no reservations required.  If needing more info, call the Museum at 330 830-4061.

First Lutheran Church on East Tusc. St. near downtown Canton will be serving FREE HOT MEALS on Wednesday, Oct. 29th from 4:30 - 6 pm.

The Foltz Community Center and the Rotary Club of East Canton will be hosting A HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST on Wednesday, Oct. 29th from 6 - 8 pm.  There will be age groups through 6th grade and for more info, and to pre-register, call 330 488-6500.

The Louisville Area YMCA will be hosting A TRICK or TREAT throughout their building on Thurs. Children, age 13 and under can enjoy the fun of trick-or-treating in a safe, kid friendly environment at the Massillon Recreation Center Parking Lot on Thurs. Oct. 30th from 6 - 7:30 pm.  This is a free event and for more details, call the Center at 330 832-1621.

The McKinley Presidential Library & Museum will be hosting its ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY at the "BOO-seum" on Fri. Oct. 31st from 6 - 8:30 pm.  For $ 5 per person, guests can take part in a Discover World scavenger hunt, watch Planetarium and science shows, and enjoy games with prizes.  Hayrides will also be available.  For more info or to register, call 330 455-7043.

Historic Zoar Village will host its ANNUAL HAUNTED ZOAR GHOST TOURS on Fri. Oct. 31st.  Tickets available for the following tour times - 6:30 pm, 6:45 pm, 7 pm, 7:15 pm, and 7:30 pm.  Tours cost $ 15 per adult and $ 10 for kids 10 and under.  Call 330 874-2646 to place a required reservation.

On Fri. Oct 31st, JRC (formerly J.R.
