ALPHA MEDIA’S CONTEST-SPECIFIC RULES FOR THE MIX TRIVIA NIGHT CONTEST

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

These contest-specific rules should be read in conjunction with Alpha Media’s General Contest Rules, which are applicable to all contests conducted by Alpha Media Holdings LLC and/or its subsidiaries (including licensee subsidiaries).

Sponsor(s): WHBC-FM Mix 94.1 at 550 Market Ave S, Canton, OH 44702 (collectively, “Sponsor”).

1. Promotional Period: The MIX TRIVIA NIGHT contest (the “Promotion”) begins on or around May 28th, at 12am EST and ends on or about August 31st at 11:59pm EST (the “Promotional Period”).
2. Entry Deadline: The deadline to submit entries for each weekly contest is every Thursday at 12pmEST, until on or about August 27th.
3. Eligibility Restrictions: The Promotion is open to all legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia (except NY and FL) who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry and who live in Stark, Carroll, Tuscarawas, Summit, Portage and Wayne counties. Employees of WHBC-FM (the “Station”), its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other broadcast stations in the Station’s listening area, and the members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings or children) or households (whether related or not) are ineligible to participate or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside the United States, in NY and FL, as applicable, and where prohibited.

Individuals may only win this Station-conducted contest/sweepstakes once every sixty (60) days.

Contestants must be available at the allotted time given for the trivia game. Management reserves the right to change the date and time due to conflicts. Contestants are required to have an internet connection, paper, pen, pencil, and video camera to join the live stream video event. No purchase is necessary in order to compete. Winners must be able to pick up their prize from the Mix 94.1 studios at 550 Market Ave S, Canton OH, 44702 within 90 days of winning.

Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from any individual who does not meet the eligibility requirements, and will also delete any entry as required by law.

4. Entry Method: To participate in the Promotion, you may enter via the following method(s).

VIA INTERNET – Go to mix941.com and follow the links and instructions to enter and submit the required information, which may include your first and last name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and a valid email address, in the online entry form. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. Entrants will also be asked a trivia question for entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning the email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Station. The Promotion administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Promotion.

Three entrants a week will be selected to participate in a live stream trivia contest. After notified via email, entrants have 48 hours, or until the following Thurs at 12pmEST to respond and confirm their availability for the trivia contest. If entrant does not respond, the station will select a new contestant.

5. Prizes: The prize awarded each week will vary upon inventory availability. The prize will be announced before each week’s Trivia Night, by the night before the contest at the latest. Examples of the types of prizes that may be available are: gift cards to local businesses, gift baskets, vouchers for local stores and businesses, etc. The approximate retail value of any prize will not exceed one hundred dollars $100.
6. Winner Selection and Notification:

Decisions of Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

A winner will be selected each week from those that are selected to compete in that week’s trivia contest conducted by Mix 94.1 staff. Each contestant will be asked a series of general knowledge questions in turns. General knowledge questions will include the following categories, but are not limited to: music, entertainment, sports, science, history, literature, pop culture, etc. Each contestant will be given one minute to answer a question. There will be four rounds of questions. Each contestant will write their answer down on a sheet of paper or notepad. At the end of the allotted time, all contestants will be asked to reveal their answers. 

The correct answer to each trivia question will be determined by the Station in its sole discretion.  Decisions of the Station are effective when made and will not be later amended or changed.  By participating in the live stream event, contestants agree to abide by decisions of the Station.

The contestant with the most points accumulated from answering questions will be determined the winner.

In the event of a tie, we will do additional rounds of questions until a winner is determined.

The Station reserves the right to stop any contestant’s video and/or audio stream as they see fit. 

The winner is responsible for picking up their prize at the Mix 94.1 studios at 550 Market Ave S, Canton OH 44702

8. Official Rules and Winner List: To obtain a copy of the General Contest Rules, these contest-specific rules, or a list of winner(s) following completion of the Promotion (please specify which), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (VT residents may omit return postage) specifying “General Contest Rules,” “Contest-Specific Rules,” or “Winner List” to MIX TRIVIA NIGHT Winner List or Official Rules Request,WHBC-FM Mix 94.1 550 Market Ave S., Canton, OH 44702. A copy of the General Contest Rules, contest-specific rules, and a list of winner(s) (when complete) are also available during regular business hours at the main studio of WHBC-FM Mix 94.1 550 Market Ave S., Canton, OH 44702. All such requests must be received within thirty (30) days following completion of the Promotion.
