(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Authorities are investigating suspicious activity directed toward postal employees while on their routes in Canton.

The Canton Police Department says it has received multiple reports from postal employees of suspicious activity.

WHBC News has been told that postal workers were pulled from their routes on Thursday after three workers were approached by men and told to get in a vehicle.

Postal employees did complete their routes on Friday.

A United States Postal Service Postal Police vehicle was seen in downtown on Friday as a postal worker was completing their route.

The Canton Police Department says it’s working with the United States Postal Inspectors to investigate the reports.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service in Cleveland tells WHBC News that it can’t provide specifics on the situation, but that all Canton employees are safe and the mail is being delivered.
