Here’s a reminder to either turn off data roaming or pay for an international plan while traveling. It could save you a ton of money in the long run.
After returning home from a vacation in Bali, an Australian family received their phone bill showing close to $30,000 in charges.
Turns out the company failed to add Craig Piper’s iPad to the data package he purchased for the trip, and his daughter streamed about 10GB while they were abroad.
Thankfully Telstra waived the charges, which had “put a lot of stress on our family,” according to Piper.
Ever get hit with a big phone bill after a trip? What did you do?
