Child care can be a challenge anytime but when you’re a college student and you don’t want to miss class what do you do if your babysitter cancels? At Georgia Gwinnett College a student told her professor that she had no one to watch her infant but she didn’t want to miss biology class. So the understanding professor told her to bring the baby and they would figure it out.
Initially, the mother was holding her child on her lap but that made it very difficult to take notes. So the professor offered to hold the baby instead. They were able to construct a makeshift baby wrap and the professor wore the infant on her back for the 3 hour lecture and even fed him a bottle when he got hungry.
The teacher said her mother instinct just kicked in and she said she was happy to help out her student who had a test coming up. That is really going above and beyond to make sure her student was able to do her best in class!
