Customers Help Out At A Short-Staffed Waffle House
This is such an incredible display of empathy from regular people! I know some days at a couple of my old jobs would seem impossible with how understaffed we were. It’s nice to see when people pitch in impromptu like this to help people who are struggling!
What do you do when you are craving cheese eggs from Waffle house but they are short-staffed? You go behind the counter and make them yourself. That’s what customers at an Alabama Waffle House did when only one person showed up on a Saturday night to work. “It was the most fascinating thing,” customer Ethan Crispo says, “It was just one of the wildest instances of really, really cool people just coming together.” Customers jumped in to help wash dishes, take orders and bus tables. Waffle House’s corporate office praised the customers for helping the solo employee, however in a statement they said, “The key to our concept is, we’re there to serve you, not the other way around.”
If a restaurant was short-staffed would you jump in to help out or go to another restaurant?
