Dallas Swogger Act Moves Forward at Statehouse

(WHBC) – Legislation being pushed by State Representative Thomas West following the death of a Canton teenager has advanced.

The Dallas Swogger Act is an amendment attached to the transportation bill that prohibits so-called “skitching”.

That’s riding a skateboard that is attached to the rear of a moving vehicle.

Swogger was killed in October of 2017 in just such an incident.

The bill is in the Senate now.
