Downtown Canton lights up! Don’t miss this annual family fun holiday street party!
The Spectacular Stage Show starts at 6pm. Fireworks follow immediately after the stage show (approximately 6:45pm).
See all your favorite Holiday characters in a very special musical main stage show that will light up the skies and light up your spirits with musical acts, fantastic fireworks and a ho, ho, ho-liday visit from the man in red. Enjoy free goodies, entertainment, activities plus horse-drawn sleigh rides and Santa! You’re in for a night of surprises and fun for all ages! Best of all? This festive festival is FREE!
Participating locations will start handing out treats and surprises at right after the fireworks.
While supplies last we’ll be handing out kid safety lights and the classic Mannheim Steamroller holiday CD “Christmasville” plus canisters of the one-of-a-kind Cinnamon Hot Chocolate Mix! “Christmasville” features new arrangements from the classic cartoon and movie, “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” plus seven original songs including a new version of “Grinchmas” (recomposed by Chip Davis). Originally created for the Universal Studios Orlando “Grinchmas” production, “Christmasville” celebrates the quirky sound of Christmas throughout the centuries with a mix of nostalgia and family fun.
Plus, don’t forget to “SPREAD THE WARMTH”! November 1 through November 27, WHBC and Mix 941 will be collecting hats, mittens, scarves, and socks that are distributed to children in need during Light Up Downtown by personnel from the Canton Fire Department. For some kids, this might be the only gift they receive during the holidays, and the smile it puts on their faces is incredible. Stop by the WHBC/Mix 941 studios with a donation!
