Farmers Way Behind Due To Wet Weather

(ONN) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Ohio farmers are way behind on their planting thanks to the wet spring.
The Ag. Department says farmers have planted 22 percent of the corn crop and just 11 percent of soybeans.
Over the previous five years the average was 78 percent planted for corn and 55 percent for soybeans by this time of the year.
And farmers say one-third of their winter wheat crop, which is planted in the fall and usually harvested in July, is rated currently as poor or in very poor condition.
