Football Rivals Come Together After Game To Pray for One of Their Mom’s to Recover from Cancer

Football players play hard to beat their opponents. But one high school player in Texas showed incredible sportsmanship and compassion after the game. High schooler Gage Smith knows Ty Jordan, who plays for a rival high school football team, from another football program. He knew that Ty’s mother is battling cancer. The 2 high schools played a football game recently. After the game ended Gage walked over to Ty and asked if he could pray with him for his mother and his family. The moment was captured on camera and went viral.

Gage’s coach says that he is a true leader on and off the field. Gage himself said ‘During the game we’re enemies and we’re gonna play and try to win the game, but you still have that respect for the other opponent. I wanted to do that prayer for him’.
