The drama club at North Bergen High School, located in New Jersey, decided to bring the 1979 science-fiction film “Alien” to the stage.
The production is called “Alien: The Play” and involves eight student actors.
The set designs and costumes were created from donated and recycled items due to the high school not having the same $10 million budget of the original movie.
The estimated total cost of the play was around $3,500.
The play has received an astounding amount of praise online and even received a nod from “The Avengers” director Joss Whedon.
“This is fantastic. Blows my high school’s adaptation of PINK FLAMINGOS out of the water,” comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted.
