(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Two American Red Cross volunteers from Stark and Summit Counties are in the Dayton area, helping out at five Red Cross shelters that have opened there.

They are part of a group of four volunteers and one employee from northeast Ohio.

The Red Cross Tuesday night said volunteers were assessing the damage caused by the storms and have found that hundreds of homes were impacted.

Many communities are without power and some are without water.

The Red Cross is prepared to provide emergency supplies, as well as sheltering, in response to the storms.

Here’s how you can volunteer with the Red Cross.
