What’s in a Name? A LOT

A college football player recently did something to show how much he loves his stepdad. His stepdad became part of his life when was 8 years old. George Grimwade plays for Samford University and wanted to honor the man who means so much to him. He secretly applied this past summer to change his name to that of his stepdad. Then just before the football game he surprised him with the paperwork announcing the name change was legal. Then he turned around and showed him his jersey, which had the new last name on it. To say the least, his stepdad was overcome by emotion! What a beautiful moment!!
