New Line To Make ‘Hello Kitty’ Film

Hello Kitty is making her way to the big screen. New Line cinema will develop an English language film.

This is the first movie deal for Hello Kitty outside of Japan in 45 years. In 1974 Hello Kitty was introduced to the world as a coin purse. One year later she was a global phenomenon.
