Sears Asks Judge to Approve Liquidation

Sears did not reach an agreement with Chairman Edward Lampert with his $4.4 billion takeover bid. The corporation is now asking a judge if they can proceed with liquidation. They may be closing 500 stores. The bankruptcy judge could give Lampert more time to change his bid.
