(News/Talk 1480 WHBC) – Smoke from wildfires that are burning a long way from Ohio could make our sunsets more colorful this week, but also affect the air quality.

The National Weather Service says smoke from Canadian wildfires is spreading over a large portion of the country, including Ohio, leading to hazy skies.

“Sunsets may be especially colorful in the coming days,” the weather service said.

As of Monday afternoon no air quality alerts had been issued for Ohio.

Friday’s colorful sunset in Canton (pictured) was attributed to the hazy skies from the wildfires.
